Celebration of Life Memorial Services for Catherine Eloise Alcorn, 62, of Mansfield, will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, September 18, 2008, at Heath and Vaughn Funeral Home, 201 N. Elm, Champaign.

Mrs. Alcorn died at 3:15 a.m., Monday, September 15, 2008, at Illini Heritage Nursing Home, Champaign.

She was born January 25, 1946, in Urbana, a daughter of Dorothy Ragle.

Mrs. Alcorn was employed as a housekeeper. Her hobbies included working jigsaw puzzles and listening to music, especially Elvis music, country bluegrass, and cowboy church with Rick Roy.

Mrs. Alcorn is survived by her mother, of St. Joseph; one son, Aaron S. Kelly, of Mansfield; two brothers, Dennis Ellis, of Champaign, and John Ellis, of St. Joseph; one sister, Linda Brandenburg, of Casey; two grandchildren, Tyler Allen Walker and Nicci Marie Houtchins, of Mansfield; and two great-grandchildren, Haley Marie and Riley Leeanne, of Mahomet.

The family wishes to extend their heart-felt thanks to the caregivers and volunteers who gave loving care to Mrs. Alcorn during her illness.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society with a designation for lung cancer research.
