Robert Floyd Littell
Celebration of Life services for Robert Floyd Littell, 78, of Champaign, will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at Heath and Vaughn Funeral Home, 201 N. Elm, Champaign. The Rev. Don Walden will officiate.
Visitation will be at the funeral home one hour before the service.
Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. Graveside military rites will be accorded by Champaign VFW Post 5520 Color Guard.
Mr. Littell passed peacefully in his sleep at 2:59 a.m., Friday, June 13, 2008.
He was born May 22, 1930, the son of Floyd R. and Hilma (Faupel) Littell. He married Evangeline June Jacob on August 5, 1955, in Urbana. His beloved wife of over 50 years, preceded him in death on May 19, 2006.
Survivors include a daughter, Laura J. Littell (Kendrick Payne), of Champaign; a son, Larry F. Littell, of Palatine, Illinois; and two grandchildren, Drew and Beth Littell, both of Lake Zurich, Illinois.
Mr. Littell served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Before his retirement, he was employed by Illinois Bell as a telephone lineman/installer. He was a member of Telephone Pioneers.
A real people person, Mr. Littell enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
