Jack E. Taylor

Jack E. Taylor, 70, of Urbana, died at 5:18 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at his home in Urbana.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, at Danville National Cemetery, Danville, Illinois.

Mr. Taylor was born Sept. 23, 1938, in Bloomington, Ill., a son of John Herbert and Mary Ann (Coup) Taylor.

He married Judith A. Dalton on March 12, 1977, in Urbana. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Andrew Jack Taylor, of Champaign, and Timothy Jack Taylor of Delaware, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Amanda Taylor, of Champaign; two brothers, Bill Taylor and Ben Taylor, both of Bloomington; three sisters, Clara Ross, of Bloomington, Carrie Burgess, of Normal, and Elsie Price, of Columbia, Tennessee; a granddaughter, Katie Sue Taylor, of Champaign; and a grandson, Nicholas Andrew Taylor, of Champaign.

Mr. Taylor served his country in the U.S. Army. He was self-employed and was a school bus driver for the Urbana schools. His hobbies included hunting and fishing.

He will be missed by all and loved and remembered forever by family and friends.

Jack would some days last year, after his route sit with my daughter and just talk to her. (Samantha) She enjoyed their conversations, he even taught her a magic trick with cards; he would tell me how smart she was. I would have to agree with him on that. He will be missed my his family at the bus lot! God Bless your family during this time and your loss!
