Kerry Lee Alexander, 56, of Urbana, passed away January 13, 2010, at 2:05 p.m. at his home.

No services are planned at this time.

Mr. Alexander was born in Champaign on March 2, 1953, a son of Horace and Joan V. (Hassell) Alexander.

Before his retirement, he was employed by the Holiday Inn in Urbana as a cook and a member of the custodial staff. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Philo Road Church of Christ in Urbana.

Kerry leaves cherishing his memory: sisters, Marcia K. Payne (Leroy, dec.) of Champaign, Sheila Henley (Phil) of Phoenix, AZ, LaTanya Alexander, Chicago; and one brother, Eardis Alexander (Lisa), Urbana.

He was preceded in death by son, Kerry Jr., mother, Joan Alexander and one brother, Brian Alexander.

Heath and Vaughn Funeral Home, Champaign, assisted the Alexander family with arrangements.
