Celebration of Life graveside services for Anna Darline Applegate, 92, of Urbana, will be at 2 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2009, at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.

Mrs. Applegate passed away at 1:08 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. She was born October 20, 1917, in Fisher, Illinois, the daughter of George J. and Bertha E. (Hopkins) Kiefer.

She married Andrew L. Applegate in Gibson City, Illinois. He preceded her in death in September, 1980. Also preceding her in death was a son, Paul Applegate.

Surviving are a son, Roger Applegate, of Antioch, Tennessee; two daughters, Judith Brunelle and Donna Applegate, both of Champaign; a brother, Clifford Kiefer, of Urbana; a sister, Betty Kirby, of Champaign; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Applegate’s hobbies included sewing and ceramics work.
