Donald Eugene Beasley, 81, of Champaign, passed away at 7:20 a.m., Sunday, April 18, 2010, at Carle Hospital. Urbana.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at Heath and Vaughn Funeral Home, 201 N. Elm, Champaign.

Graveside Military Rites will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 22, 2010, at Danville National Cemetery, Danville, Illinois.

Mr. Beasley was born March 1, 1929, in Tolono, the son of Thomas and Anna May (Craig) Beasley. He married Ok Chu Im in 1961. She survives.

Also surviving are a son, Jimmy Beasley, of St. Joseph; a sister, Beulah Vickers, of Champaign; and five grandchildren, Josh, Jessica, Alex, Aly, and Austin.

Mr. Beasley was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Before his retirement, Mr. Beasley was employed by Kraft Foods. He was an Army veteran, having served his country in Korea and Viet Nam. He participated in the Berlin Airlift.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, visiting the park, and caring for his pets.
