Brian J. Carlson
A gathering of family and friends at Beardsley Park in Champaign at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2011, will celebrate the life of Brian J. Carlson.
The family invites those attending to bring a side dish to share.
Mr. Carlson passed away at his home in Champaign at 10:05 a.m., Friday, April 29, 2011.
He was born September 22, 1959, a son of Blair and Barbara (Cameron) Carlson.
He is survived by a daughter, Rose M Carlson, of Sidney; two brothers, Bart Carlson, of North Carolina, and Bret Carlson, of Kansas; three sisters: Bernadette Small, of Florida, Brenda Hutchenson and Bonnie Carlson, both of Kansas; and a grandson, Troy Carlson, of Sidney.
Mr. Carlson was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bruce Carlson.
He was self-employed as a street entertainer who trained cats to perform for tourists on Mallory Square dock in Key West, Florida. He was a huge Marlins fan, always having his radio on hand to listen to the games.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Provena Covenant Hospice Program or the Champaign County Humane Society in Mr. Carlson’s memory.
