It is our desire at Heath and Vaughn Funeral Home to respectfully recognize each and every Champaign, Urbana, Bondville, Mahomet,
Rantoul, and Savoy City employee and Champaign County government employee for their generous service and devotion to our communities. Accordingly, we have established a new community service plan entitled “Fallen Heroes Tribute Service.”
Beginning May 25, 2009, befitting a special acknowledgment of Memorial Day, Heath and Vaughn Funeral Home will provide all of our professional services and funeral merchandise,* as well as our six-month bereavement recovery program free of charge to all above-mentioned employees, providing their death occurs while on their job as an employee.
As you know, the news of a sudden, unexpected death in the workplace creates chaos and suffering among those left behind to cope with a major crisis. Further, our current economic “downturn” only increases the burdens of the bereaved family.
During the many years we have been honored to serve the Champaign-Urbana and area communities, many families have touched our hearts. Together, we’ve shared tears and many fond memories of a life well lived.
For these reasons we feel it would be a privilege to “give something back” to the many dedicated people that help make our cities and county function efficiently and safely.
