“Nene”
Rosita “Nene” Suarez Hilario, devout mother and former teacher, died peacefully  at home in Champaign at the age of 72 on Monday, Aug. 16, 2010.
She is survived by her 6 children and their spouses and 16 grandchildren.
Visitation and prayer services will be held at Heath and Vaughn Funeral Home, 201 N. Elm, Champaign (217-239-1212) on Friday, Aug. 20, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Holy Rosary will be led by Msgr. Mark Merdian at 4:30 p.m. and another short visitation will be held on Saturday, Aug. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Novena prayers will begin on Aug. 17 at 6 p.m. at her residence.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, Aug. 21, at 10 a.m. Msgr. Mark Merdian will celebrate the Holy Mass at St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church, Champaign. A funeral luncheon will follow.
The family thanks Msgr. Merdian and the Parish staff, St. Matthew’s Eucharistic Ministers, the Carle Foundation Hospital Community Care Program, Carle Cancer Center and the Hospice team.
