Henrietta “Cricket” Kurlakowsky, 64, of Champaign, passed away peacefully at kurlakowsky11:30 a.m., Sunday, October 2, 2011, surrounded by family and friends.

Cricket was born November 10, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois.

She worked as an Account Technician for over 20 years at UIUC before retiring. She enjoyed rodeos, country and western music, crossword puzzles, bingo, and spending time her grandchildren.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Tammy (Terrance) Kurlakowsky-Pipes of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Tina (Don) Jackson, of Midland, Michigan; one step-daughter, Vicki (Fran) Bosch of Pasadena, Maryland; one son, Josh Marti, of Washington, Illinois; three grandsons, Brandon Kurlakowsky, Terrance Pipes, Jr. of Shreveport, Louisiana, A. J. Bosch of Pasadena, Maryland; three granddaughters, Amy (John) Klotzle of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Christina and Taryn Jackson of Midland, Michigan.

Cricket was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Jo Kurlakowsky.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, with services to follow at Heath and Vaughn Funeral Home, 201 N Elm, Champaign. Pastor Joe Barth will officiate. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana, Illinois.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
