Condolences
I am the Recorder of DeMolay Commandery, Knights Templar, in Bloomington of which your father was a member. I never met your father personally, but about four years ago, I began communications with him regarding his dues situation. In the conversations we had over the phone, I never met a nicer, more honest individual. Tom would have been a 50 year member of our organization next June, so I feel a
loss that he wasn’t able to receive the honors due a 50 year member of our
fraternity.
We trust that you are comforted by the knowledge that he now stands at the right hand of our Heavenly Father and is no longer suffering with the frailties of this life, but enjoying the peace and happiness of Him.
May God bless you in this time of grief.

We have known Tom since the sixties. Although we moved to California in 1974, Tom kept in touch with us throughout the years. He visited us often when he was
traveling on business to San Francisco, and we talked on the phone now and then.
We would just like to say that Tom was one of the most loyal friends one could wish for, and once you were his friend, it was for life. We will miss him.

To the family of Tom Lane
We were so sorry to learn of Tom’s death recently. Tom was a year ahead of me in high school and a year behind my husband’s class. My husband went to school with Carol and my younger sister was in Sara’s high school class. Please accept our deepest sympathy on your loss of Tom. We hadn’t seen him in years but still remember him from our high school days. I remember him as being a very quiet young man, very soft spoken and kind. We lost track of him over the years but know that you all will miss him greatly. Please accept our sincere sympathy and know that you are all in my prayers.
