                    Blessed Peace

                    O loving Jesus we hear you say
                         As you said so long ago,
                    “Those who are my very own
                         My blessed peace shall know.”

                    So when our hearts are troubled,
                         And when we are afraid,
                    We simply turn in faith to Thee
                         And the promise you have made.

                    There’s nothing that shall hurt us
                         If to Thy hand we cling;
                    What a friend we have in thee
                         Our grateful hearts now sing!

                                   —Sr. Lucille R. McClughen
