Mrs. Iva Ruth Miller, 76, of Champaign, passed away at 12:24 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, at her home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Jan. 18, at Heath and Vaughn Funeral Home, 201 N. Elm, Champaign.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 19, at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. The Rev. Brian Pape will officiate.

Mrs. Miller was born Feb. 26, 1933, in Bedford, Iowa, a daughter of Kenneth S. and Hazel (Vosburg) Birdzell. She married James F. Miller on Sept. 2, 1951, in Champaign. He preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 1996.

Before her retirement, Mrs. Miller was employed as an LPN at Burnham Hospital, Champaign, and later at Lakeland Regional Hospital, Lakeland, Florida.

She enjoyed traveling and was proud of the teapots she added to her collection during a trip to Ireland. She was a member of the Methodist faith.

Mrs. Miller is survived by a son, Brian K. Miller (and wife, Leslie J. Miller), of Champaign; two daughters, Debra L. Cunningham (and husband, Bruce Cunningham) and Joan M. Bushman, both of Champaign; two brothers and two sisters; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, James S. Miller.
