Lawrence M. Santilli

Celebration of Life Memorial Services for Lawrence M. Santilli, 77, of Champaign, will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, February 5, 2012, at Bacigalupo-Anzilotti (West Town) Funeral Home, 2433 S. Oakley Ave., Chicago.

santilliBurial will be Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at 12 noon at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Route 53 and Hoff Rd., Elwood, Ill.

Heath and Vaughn Funeral Home, 201 N. Elm, Champaign, is assisting the family with local arrangements.

Mr. Santilli passed away at 4:25 p.m., Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. He was born Sept. 12, 1934, in Chicago, a son of Attilio and Catherine (Zarlenga) Santilli.

He is survived by one son, Michael Santilli, of Dickinson, Tex.; two daughters, Lorene Peirce, of Champaign, and Nancy DeAngelo, of Chicago; one sister, Marge Todd, of Denver, Colo., and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and three brothers.

Before his retirement, Mr. Santilli was employed as a pipefitter. He was a member of Local #597. He served in the U.S. Army.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Illinois Veteran’s Association or ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
