On behalf of Indiana Organ Procurement Organization, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support with potential tissue donor T.C. on December 12, 2011. As you may recall, he was a 66-year-old man whose death was cardiac related. I would like to provide you with some information regarding the tissue donation.

Unfortuantely, we were not able to proceed with the tissue donation process due to medical reasons. Please know that this in no way diminishes his precious gift.

I haven't been to many funerals in the Champaign area, so I cannot really compare Heath & Vaughn to the other funeral homes, but I have something to say about this place.

The men and women at H & V took excellent care of us when we were arranging a funeral for my infant son. They were professional and still caring and they went beyond anything I could have imagined or hoped for. I don't know if we were a special case but they arranged a deal for us that simply staggered me.

I've heard stories of other funeral homes (not necessarily those from this area) that tried to make people feel guilty if they didn't spend more money to get the top-of-the-line products/services/etc. Those stories make funeral home directors sound like a petty and greedy bunch — That was not the case here. Their generosity and compassion blew me away.

I would whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone in the Champaign area.
Thank God for these people. They made a very difficult time a little easier for my wife and I.
