Marito Estaris Torio, 68, of Champaign, passed away at his home at 3:40 a.m., Wednesday, September 28, 2011.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at Heath and Vaughn Funeral Home, 201 N. Elm, Champaign.

A Celebration of Life Mass will be offered at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church, 1303 Lincolnshire, Champaign. The Rev. Fr. John Zilimu will officiate.

Mr. Torio was born March 21, 1943, in the Philippines, a son of Jose Peralta Torio, Sr. and Brigida Estero Estaris Torio. He married Leonida Casta Cali on June 7, 1971. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Maria Linda Valenton, of Commerce, Michigan, and Alejandra Bartolome, of Champaign; one son, Joemar Torio, of the Philippines; three sisters, Esmeralda Torio Ceralde and Florencia Torio Belmonte, both of Carson City, California, and Lita Torio Quitlong, of California; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister.

Mr. Torio was employed by the Plastipakk company in Champaign.

He was a member of the Catholic faith.
