Bernice Neidel, 102, died on December 26 at The Haven of Farmer City.
She was born in Tolono on March 26, 1923 to Norman and Fannie Edwards Wilson. She attended local schools and completed an 8th grade education. She married Ernest Neidel on January 8, 1941. He died on October 30, 1974.
Bernice was a homemaker and also enjoyed dancing, jewelry and crossword puzzles. She resided in Mahomet until moving to The Haven of Farmer City in 2016
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 6 siblings and a son, James Neidel.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Marilyn Wingert and Nancy (Marty) Pruitt, 10 grandchildren and a large number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A service for Bernice will be held at the funeral home on Thursday January 8, 2026 at 1:00 PM followed by burial in Blue Ridge Township Cemetery, Mansfield.
