Early in the morning of July 28, 2026, after a short period of being bedridden, Sharon passed away with her daughter and eldest grandson beside her.
Born on May 2, 1940, Sharon Rose (Wheeler) Johnson was the last of nine children of Richard and Ina Marie (Watts) Wheeler.
On October 1, 1961, she married Cyrus Lee Johnson. They would have 3 children: Bradley, Cynthia and Chadwick. After almost 56 years of marriage, Cyrus passed away in July 2017.
Shortly after that, Sharon began showing signs of dementia. After a fall and recovery in late 2021 and a short stay at a nursing facility, Cynthia took on full caregiver responsibilities of Sharon.
Sharon was a hairdresser by profession. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and neighbors. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors, her cats, word puzzles and drawing.
Sharon is survived by her 3 children and 3 grandsons, Aaron, Aidan and Ethan.
Private services and burial were held on August 4, 2026.
