Carol Ann Pointer, age 83, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2023, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
She was born July 17, 1939, the daughter of Grant and Virginia Zindars. She married Roger Pointer on June 3, 1962, at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Champaign. He survives.
Also surviving are her son, Kevin Pointer, Bondville; her daughter, Diana Pointer, Champaign; and her grandson, Grant (Brooke) Pointer, Fisher.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Ted Zindars; and her son Scott Pointer.
Carol was a 1957 graduate of Mahomet High School. She worked as a clerk typist at the University of Illinois and later sold Tupperware for many years.
She enjoyed family genealogy and attending garage sales. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ.
No services will be held, per her wishes. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.
