Jeffrey Scott “Jeff” Hardesty, 63, of Urbana IL passed away on May 29. 2024. He was born on August 7, 1960, in Springfield IL to Jerry and Joyce Ellen (Lake) Hardesty.
He is survived by his father, Jerry, stepmother, Judy Stanley, of Peoria IL: son, Atlee, (Lindsey), grandchildren Kylie and Atlee II of Champaign: aunt, Joyce Wilson of Lincoln IL; and many cousins. Jeff was preceded in death by his mother and his sister, Jenny Lynn.
Jeff graduated from Champaign Central High School. He made the Dean’s List at the University of Illinois and attained a bachelor’s degree in marketing. He worked in sales at Frito-Lay, was assistant manager for Cub Foods, and later employed by Moisson Properties.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm, Monday, June 17, at Meadowbrook Community Church on South Duncan Road in Champaign IL. Memorial contributions may be made to Meadowbrook Community Church.
