Scott Daugherty

Scott Allyn Daugherty, 69, of Champaign died Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana surrounded by his loved ones.

Scott was born in Shelbyville, the son of Charles and Joy Daugherty, who both preceded him in death, along with his brother, Mark.

He is survived by his wife, Alma Anca-Daugherty, a daughter, Dana Allen, and a grandson, Connor Walker, all of Shelbyville; two siblings, David (Beth) and Michael (Stephanie), both of Lafayette, Ind.; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Scott studied at Shelbyville High School and pursued drafting at Richland Community College. He worked at The Kelly Group as a draftsman and was a part of the organization for 40 years. He possessed an exemplary work ethic, a trait he also shared with his siblings.

He loved working on his cars, engines, gardening, camping and outdoor activities. He loved the warm weather and dreamed of retiring in a tropical place.

He was a loving husband, a doting father and a caring son. He shared the love of engines and fast cars with his siblings.

He was an adopted son of the Filipino community and a faithful member of the Catholic Church.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 405 W. Clark St., Champaign.
