Virginia Sue Walling (4/18/1939 – 1/30/2022)
Virginia was born to Thomas and Mattie (Lewis) Adkins on April 18, 1939 in Rose Hill, KY. She completed a 10th grade education. She married David Walling on February 22, 1958. He died on Sept 16, 2012.
Virginia was a seamstress and was employed by Country Squire Cleaners in Champaign for 32 years. She was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3075. Her hobbies included sewing and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by one son, Daniel (Judy) of Urbana, one granddaughter, Ashley (Aiden) Tierney and one great-granddaughter, Mattie Tierney of Sherman, and one sister, Nancy Adkins of Lancaster, CA.
Heath and Vaughn Funeral Home is assisting the family. According to her Virginia’s wishes, she has been cremated.
A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
